“Love thinks no evil” There are 4 common interpretations of this phrase.
1. Love does not meditate on evil.
i.e. Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things”
2. Love does not wish evil.
i.e. “You’ll see” “I told you so” “He’ll learn his lesson”

3. Love does not attribute evil. Love gives the benefit of the doubt.
