Every year, Liberty Church chooses a theme to guide our preaching, prayer, and life together. It gives us a shared focus as a church family and a reminder of what God is calling us to pursue.
This Year’s Theme: Slay the Dragons
Tearing Down Strongholds
This year we are focusing on tearing down the strongholds of sin, both in our own hearts and in the culture around us. Like dragons, these strongholds can seem too powerful to face. But in Christ we do not fight alone, and we do not fight with the weapons of this world.
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:3–4 (ESV)
In Our Hearts
Every believer has dragons to slay: habits, fears, and sins that have taken root and try to rule us. By God’s Word, prayer, and the encouragement of one another, we want to name those strongholds honestly and, by the power of the Spirit, tear them down.
In Our Culture
We also want to stand with courage and love against the strongholds in the culture at large, lifting up the truth of the gospel in our homes, our community, and beyond.
Join Us
We would love for you to join us on Sundays at 10:30 AM as we slay the dragons together. Listen to recent sermons or plan a visit.
