Michael L Smith was born in Toledo, Ohio, and his family moved to the St Louis area in 1998. He always enjoyed serving with his family’s church in Eureka, Missouri growing up, but didn’t truly come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior until he traveled with a mission team to the country of Belize in 2009.
As it happened, Mike’s team was paired with a team from Liberty Church. For several years, Mike continued to work closely with Liberty members and leaders on trips to Belize. Mike soon also joined the college ministry, CTG. After taking a job in North St Louis County in 2015 and with plans to move to the area, Mike officially became a member at Liberty.
Mike moved to St Charles in 2016 and, over time, became involved in several Liberty ministries such as outreach to the homeless, College and Career, Catechism, the Lawn Team, the Sound Team, Finance, and others. Mike seeks to use his gift of service to glorify Jesus Christ in His Church and around the world and has a passion for missions. Mike was confirmed as a Deacon by the body at Liberty Church in October 2019.
